2023 Conference Details

The NZITF Conference is held annually in late October or early November. This year, the NZITF Conference will be held on Monday, 13 November and Tuesday, 14 November 2023 at Te Papa in Wellington, New Zealand.

The first day of the NZITF Conference is the Community Day. This day is open to infosecurity professionals, students and those people who want to get into cybersecurity. It contains TLP:GREEN and TLP:CLEAR talks, and is designed to help attendees understand more about information security challenges, the latest research and provide information for attendees to learn more about the current state of cybersecurity. Talks selected for Day 1 include:

  • ISO 27001:2022, ISO 27002:2022 and ISO 27005:2022 - What's changed and what to consider (Adwin Singh, IRD)

  • How transparency empowers security, builds trust, and inspires collaboration (Nick Malcolm, GitLab)

  • ICS/OT Incident Response: Dealing with the nuance of IR in industrial control systems (Peter Jackson, SGS ECL)

  • National cybersecurity maturity: are we there yet? (Anna Lezhikova, DEFEND)

  • Never tell me the odds! (Kendra Ross)

The second day of the NZITF Conference is for NZITF Members only. It contains TLP:AMBER, TLP:AMBER+STRICT and TLP:RED talks, and is designed to provide a secure environment to enable NZITF Members to share more specific details about events they have seen, research into threat actors, tools and techniques used by miscreants and useful tips on how best to improve the cybersecurity posture of New Zealand organisations.
